It is already a great start to the NewYear! Our first cuddle quilt workshop of this year was at Oceanside Senior Center—11 people came out: CandyMittag, Lynda Ruth, Edie Holmes,Peggy Sproul, Rinda Van Lennep, LindaFranklin, Bobbie Davis, Phyllis Lewcock, Edie Greene, Lois Bretlaff, & Mary Brothers. Linda Franklin brought 17 quilted & the rest of the members placed binding on them for a completion of 15 quilts during the workshop! Other quilts & tops were taken home for completion. During our guild meeting, Jan. 8, we had another 36 completed quilts donated + 6 tops. This brings our total to 51 completed quilts + 6 tops. Our members donating were Lois Bretlaff, Laur A’ Venegas, Mary Brothers, Freda King, Suzanne Lucas, Carol Bruynell, Dionne Thomas, Sandy Desrie, Karin Hatfield, Rinda Van Lennep, Corinne Blanco, Della Alwardt, Lynda Ruth, & Lynne Retmier. Thank you ladies! December donations were: Polinsky Children’s Center—65—Candy Mittag delivered them. Elizabeth Hospice—13—LaCena Maynard delivered them. Thank you both for these deliveries!! This will be our first workshop at this location so come out & support our guild. We provide kits, batting, & backing or you may bring a quilt you are working on for cuddle quilts.
