Announcing our first Guild Challenge of 2026:

The Playing Card Challenge

Let’s see if you’re playing with a full deck!

Beginning at the January meeting, purchase a playing card (or several) for $5 each. Use the number(s) or suit(s) to inspire the creation of a small wall hanging or art quilt. You can be subtle or obvious. It does NOT have to look like an actual playing card, but it can if you want it to. Any size, any technique, any design. You must also use a piece of either RED or BLACK fabric (either prints or solids) somewhere in your design.

For this Challenge, you will enter your project in one of FOUR categories based on one of your playing cards: SPADES, HEARTS, DIAMONDS OR CLUBS. We will choose a random winner from each of the four categories.

In addition, there will also be one Viewers' Choice prize. All members in attendance at the April meeting will vote on their choice for the best project across all categories.

Please bring back/attach your playing card (s) to the edge of your project when you turn it in so we can see what inspired you. Projects will be due at the April Meeting : Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
